Reggie Evans is a Hunger-Free Schools Advocacy Fellow. He is working to change the narrative about student hunger in schools by elevating parent, educator, and student voices; increasing access to information; and doing community education.
Reggie is a father, small business owner, and youth worker. After graduating from the University of St. Thomas in 2010, he spent some time at the City of Saint Paul working to increase the participation of small, women-owned, and minority-owned businesses in city construction projects. Reggie’s role focused on connecting people to the right resources and individuals to help propel them to a better place. After his time with Saint Paul, he served as a youth worker in North Minneapolis, worked for an education advocacy organization, and oversaw communications for Hennepin County before starting his own business.
Throughout his career and life, Reggie understood the importance of supporting, advocating for, and caring for young people. He currently works with youth at two churches on the Eastside of Saint Paul.
