Building the Next Generation of Education Justice Leaders

EdAllies offers programs that help students, families, and community members at every level build the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to leverage their voices and activate their power on issues that matter most for kids.

Our current programs include:

  • Community Allies: We offer free, customizable workshops and advocacy trainings to give community members the knowledge and tools they need to become effective advocates for the issues that matter to them. Our workshops can happen as part of a classroom curriculum, during afterschool programs or assemblies, or at community meetings and events. We provide one-time or ongoing programs that are tailored to meet your community’s needs. Schedule time to book a workshop in your community.
  • EdVoices: We work to elevate community voice on the education policies that matter most to stakeholders. With our EdVoices cohort, we train students, parents, and educators on effective storytelling and provide them platforms to help shape the narrative on education in Minnesota. Reach out to receive more information about our next EdVoices cohort.
  • For the Love of Reading: This free book club inspires kids by connecting them with authors and books that can promote a positive self-identity. Our book club gives students an opportunity to begin exploring advocacy and gives families the opportunity to engage in policies that impact their kids’ literacy journey directly. Learn more about our book club and see upcoming dates.

Whether your school, classroom, or community organization wants to learn the basics of advocacy, dig into key education issues at the Capitol, or sharpen your storytelling to make an impact, we can tailor our programming to ensure our communities have the knowledge and tools they need to be civically engaged. We partner with community groups, advocacy organizations, schools, and more to design the right content and approach for all audiences.
