St. Paul Public Schools fell farther behind the rest of the state on reading and math tests last spring.
In math, 35.5 percent of St. Paul district students scored proficient or advanced on the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments, a 2 percentage point drop from last year. It’s the fourth straight year of declines for district students in grades 3-8.
Math scores were down statewide but less sharply, according to data released Monday by the state Education Department.
